The Modern EndMary Powers is a hard working Rock/ Punk singer currently fronting the band THE MODERN END, touring Southern California! Check your local listings. Powers has played and toured with L.A.s' pioneers of goth: Christian Death. and members of Legal Weapon Mary Powers has also been in bands with members of Legal Weapon from writing power punk ballads and body slamming grooves. Mary also fronted Los Angeles' :Miss Anthropy, The Dead , and Powers & Haller to name a few.

Mary Powers sang Lead Backups in and was a featured performer with Candyman 187 and The Havenotz: ( think Black Eyed Peas) a 14 piece Hip/Hop band with a rock edge from 2009-2010 

In January 2010 Mary Powers participated in American Idol Season 9 and was a featured hopeful during Hollywood Week where she reached the top 50 with all 4 "yeses". Simon Cowell said "(Mary) You're beautiful and you Sing beautifully. Kara Dio Guardi said " I like you in your pain".

Powers voice is often compared to Siouxie Sioux , Joan Jett, Fergie and Madonna- with a high belt of F/G ( thanks to coach Bill Haller) 

Besides singing, Mary Powers also does Cartoon Voice Over. She is the star character of a project set to hit the networks in a few months. Working with Gina Schock from the Go Go's and Keith Fay VP of Titmouse Inc. + Check back regularly for the the big reveal on network info+
