2nd ANNUAL SOUNDWAVE

 

Get ready for an incredible day of live music! Long Beach City College’s KLBC.org, KCTY.org, and i.e. News are celebrating the music, bands, and artists of the LBC and Southern California with Soundwave 2014. It’s our second-annual six-hour spectacular, May 8 from 10:00 AM – 4:00 PM. Returning groups and artists include 4 Level Interchange (jazz fusion); Moon Burns (alternative); Small Affair (rock); Chad Bishop (r&b); and Kristi Jo (alternative). New this year are Lion Heart (contemporary); The Jazz Angels (jazz); Delta Groove recording artists and 2012 Blues Foundation Nominees for Best New Artist Debut, The Mighty Mojo Prophets; and the godfather of Southern California country/delta blues and national headliner Bernie Pearl.

The Visual Arts are joining our day-long celebration this year. Morgan Barnard, LBCC's Media and Visual Arts Department chairman, will be presenting an overview of the many programs offered by the Art Department at Long Beach City College, at 10:30 AM.

The Homegrown sounds of Southern California: SoundWave 2014, live on KLBC, KCTY, and UStream, Thursday, May 8, starting at 10 AM.
